Summary You will serve as a Motor Vehicle Operator in the Fuels Branch of NAVSUP FLT LOG CTR JACKSONVILLE OMNR. Responsibilities You will remove, clean and inspect receipt and dispensing strainers, draining water from lines, tanks, filter separator vessels and dike/containment areas. You will unloads liquid fuel barges and commercial trucks upon arrival, open operating valves and special purpose offloading equipment You will sample fuel and utilizes a variety of laboratory equipment to analyze fuel quality and enters the resulting data into databases for aviation fuels which helps manage fuel issues and receipts and accountability. You will operate special purpose refuel and defuel vehicles to refuel or defuel all types of conventional and jet aircraft. You will operate and maintain specialized refueling and defueling aviation fuel tank trucks with a gross vehicle weight that exceeds 70,000 pounds. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
