Job Description:
Responsible for the design, development and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of company products in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Performs analysis on reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical systems, field and clinical data. Further investigates the cause for discrepancies and nonconformities to develop disposition and recommend corrective action plans. Leads material review board and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Conducts program quality cost account management and assists managing supplier corrective actions. Serves as the primary interface between LHX Quality Leadership and supplier for quality related matters
Essential Functions:
Proven ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment
Must be able to travel to various Suppliers/Vendors (approx. 50% of time)
Strong technical aptitude including a specialty in mechanical or electrical parts / assemblies
Experience in quality control tools and techniques
Understanding of process performance metrics
Understanding of quality assurance measures and process techniques.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Access
Familiarity with AS9100D
Will require the ability to pick up and move material weighing up to 50 pounds
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
Qualifications:
Requires proficient knowledge of job area. May have practical knowledge of project management. Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
2+ years experience in quality control tools and techniques
4+ years experience inspecting aircraft parts
1+ years experience with AS9100D
6+ months experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Access
1+ years experience with quality assurance measures and process techniques.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience working with a team in a technically focused environment
Teamwork oriented individual
Working knowledge base in working/using the SAP system
Fundamentals of FAA Airworthiness & Repair Station Activities
Working knowledge in Material Review Board (MRB) processes
