We are looking for a Sr Finance Manager to join the Renewals Sales Finance Team. The team's mission is to provide trusted and insightful financial information to enable leadership teams to make effective decisions in maximizing VMware's ROI. This team also has a strong focus to enhance the quality, efficiency, and scale of financial information produced. This highly visible person will form strong business partnerships with sales leaders to effectively execute and support the Company's objectives to transition to the SaaS/Subscription. This person will be responsible for communicating and presenting key insights and recommendations to Finance leadership team.
Success in role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
You will become familiar with the FP&A role within the Renewals Finance team.
You will work closely and establish business partnerships with Sales Finance, Product Finance, Sales Operations, and Renewal Sales.
You will become familiar with business metrics and financial models
You will learn and improve upon financial processes and initiatives
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
FP&A Lead in handling Renewals Topline. Oversee all business planning initiatives in collaboration with the Geo and Sales finance teams.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in bookings forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
Strong communicator, collaborating on performance evaluations with business leaders to build effective strategies and operating plans, with focus on execution.
Strength in succinctly business impact to VMware Senior Executives.
Highly motivated, hands-on person who is detailed oriented and meticulous.
Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to develop analytical vision and persuade leaders using sound financial evidence to support changes.
Financially accountable professional ensuring financial controls/compliance.
Where is the role located?
The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your manager. Prefer candidates to be located on the West Coast.
