With the introduction of VMware's Aria brand, we are redefining how we take our Multi-Cloud Management solutions to market. The Director for Multi-Cloud Management Go-to-Market (GTM) and Route-to-Market (RTM) Strategy will own development of partner strategy on a global basis. The ideal candidate is an individual with 10+ years of expertise and expertise in driving channel strategy and initiatives, partner profitability models and value messaging, and cloud management market knowledge and capabilities at VMware.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
The primary objective of this position and ability to make an impact early in this role relies on 3 core components:
You will have created a Partner GTM/RTM strategy across a robust partner ecosystem at VMware and designed initiatives to accelerate software/SaaS and subscription pipeline and sales, and partner-led services consumption and expansion.
You will have collaborated with and influenced the Multi-Cloud Management business unit, cross-functional stakeholders, and members of the Worldwide Partner and Commercial Organization to delvier partner programs, sales play content, and initiatives that will drive significant return on investment and value for partners.
You will have demonstrated knowledge of VMware Multi-Cloud Manage solutions, uses cases, and sales plays and the business value they drive for partners.
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
The person in this role will:
Work with business unit executives, GEO sales executives and finance teams to set sales targets and ensure accurate sales forecasting for partner RTMs that align to the Business Unit's and GEOs sales teams' annual operating plan.
Participate and/or lead cross-functional teams in delivering on the business-critical initiatives identified therein, driving alignment across BU, sales regions and GTM functions in developing and executing integrated end-to-end GTM plan.
Conduct and present analysis to inform decision-making during execution planning and for course correction throughout the execution process.
Develop and present communication for executive review.
Engage with Partner RTM (Solution Providers, Distribution, and OEMs) leaders globally and Partner Sales leadership in Geo to ensure partner activities are

This role sits within the Worldwide Partner and Commercial Organization and will report to the VP of Partner Cross-Cloud Services Sales. This team is responsible for driving cross-solution GTM and RTM strategy for partners.
Where is this role located?
Remote: This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the location you feel most productive and comfortable, or the location agreed upon with your hiring manager. You will be expected to live within several time zones from your team as defined by your business.
