Job Description

The Director of FP&A Paint & Glass will be the hands-on finance leader for the Paint and Glass verticals within the Paint, Collision & Glass (PC&G) business segment, a dynamic and growing portion of Driven Brands. The Paint & Glass brands include Maaco, Autoglass Now and Uniban, representing over 730 locations, and over $750M in sales and growing.

This position reports to the Vice President, FP&A for the PC&G segment, and offers a high level of visibility to the CFO and other Senior/Executive Management Team members. There is also a high level of cross-functional interaction with the Operations, Financial, Marketing and Business Development teams.

  • Lead financial planning and forecasting for the fast-growth and highly acquisitive glass business, while identifying opportunities for further profitability within other key brands

  • Lead strategic projects, identify key business and financial risks, and support setting financial priorities

  • Lead a small team of analysts and set direction for priorities and deliverables

  • Prepare, review and analyze financial forecasts, operating budgets and strategic plans

  • Provide in-depth analysis on financial performance and root cause variances to forecasts

  • Analyze ROI and profitability for business initiatives and identify improvement plans for gaps

  • Monitor and report on macro and industry trends, trading multiples, financial and operating metrics and relevant M&A transactions

  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances

  • Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives

  • Understand business requirements and translate them into specific reporting tools

  • Support Senior Management Team and department heads with in-depth analysis

  • Develop quarterly and monthly financial and business reports

  • Prepare presentations for the Board of Directors and Senior Management Team

  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis

  • Bachelor's Degree (Business, Accounting or Finance, preferred)

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, CMA or other professional designation is a plus

  • 7+ years of experience with a background that includes accounting and financial analysis.

  • Experience building and leading teams

  • Strong core FP&A skills, including business case modeling

  • Deep understanding and appreciation for the business drivers / levers of business and how they translate to financial success

  • Demonstrated ability to accurately model the financial aspects and outcomes of business issues using spreadsheets and/or other applicable tools based on operational understanding and business acumen

  • Professional polish in written and spoken form with ability to communicate and present to senior level managers

  • Strong communicator and relationship builder, with team-oriented focus

  • Credible thought leader

  • Keen analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strong analytical, decision making, project management, planning and organizational skills

  • Experience with multi-location business models preferred

  • Power user of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of planning technologies; Planful and OneStream desirable

  • Proficient with business analytics and reporting software

  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities against multiple deadlines

  • Able to work well with people across multiple functions
