Job Description:
The position of Digital Product Management Strategy Manager is responsible for partnering with the Digital Product Managers, Cat Digital, and enterprise partners to research, define, document, and execute enhancements to existing digital products, understand the digital product competitive landscape and provide recommendations to the future of our digital solutions and digital offerings.
JOB DUTIES:
Understand the enterprise value of each digital product
Lead cross functional projects to support the Digital product managers and the enterprise to define business problems with long- and short-term deliverables and both strategic and operational in nature and develop a plan to resolve with alternative options and solutions
Gathers input from Digital Product Managers, Segments and other business partners to determine key drivers of enterprise value by Digital product and by project
Develop strategy documentation working with Product Management, business partners, and users to define and document product strategy, intent, target user/segment/audience, how value is created and measured, etc. for existing product and potential future solutions
Identify key digital product integrations and develop clearly defined integration approach and strategy
Competitive Intelligence. Understand the key competitors by product, competitive offerings and competitive landscape including key differentiating features, new launches, and competitive strategy. Conduct competitive studies and benchmarking, identify key market trends, and provide recommendations to product managers to influence product roadmaps and strategies.
Identify integrations and Drive alignment between digital product and Aftermarket growth strategy and opportunities.
Cat Ventures Support. Strategic analysis on solutions adjacent to existing Digital products for potential integrations. Research and support Cat Ventures initiatives to define, prioritization and quantify the opportunity. Define and document business cases supporting the strategy.
Clearly communicates strategy, findings, recommendations, and enterprise value
Basic qualifications:
Four-year Bachelor's degree preferably in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Business administration, Economics, Marketing, or communications or equivalent experience
8+ years of job-related experience, typically in aftermarket, digital, dealer support, or finance
Top candidates will also have:
Strong analysis skills and ability to leverage large datasets efficiently
Skilled at leveraging research and data to make business recommendations and deliver insights to senior leaders
This position requires strong skills working with people from different backgrounds and the ability to influence and resolve differences and issues.
Ability to adapt quickly to high velocity and change.
Skillful at building consensus
Ability to simplify complex information and develop clear communications and presentation materials to a variety of audiences
Capable at being futuristic and activating the organization to execute
The preferred location is Peoria, IL, Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX, but remote work within the United States is available for the right candidate.
