The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for delivering timely and high-quality data, accurate reports and analytics. Through collaboration with internal partners and senior management, the analyst will provide support in all phases of the reporting life cycle. The successful candidate will also assist in the development of advanced methods of predictive modeling that will assist with the reactive and proactive support of the business. The Analyst is expected to be highly motivated, detail oriented, analytical, and able to prioritize multiple deadlines. This position requires analytical and problem-solving aptitude along with a wide range of technical, design and multitasking skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivering timely and high-quality data, accurate reports and analytics to support decision making.

  • Training end-users on new reports and dashboards

  • Using TSQL & Data Cube to extract data and create reports as per the user's specifications.

  • Preparing reports, dashboards & KPI for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data

  • The candidate will also regularly interact with the users ranging from the end user to management team to understand, document and communicate their needs, perform requirements analysis, develop, and deliver Data Models, reports, and data visualization

  • Proficient in data analysis, with ability to write queries to retrieve and analyze data from relational data sources.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products to include Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Pivot, MSQuery and PowerPoint.

  • TSQL knowledge.

  • Inquisitive, detail disposition with strong quantitative analytical skills.

  • This position requires analytical and problem-solving aptitude along with a wide range of technical development, design, and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional organizational skills to prioritize work and ability to balance maintenance and project work.

  • Ability to work independently or as a team member.

  • Green Card or US citizenship.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 2+ Yrs. of recent experience in Data Analyst role

Desired Education/Experience

  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server BI Suite including Data Cube/Mart, PowerBI, relational data modeling.

  • Understanding of key business metrics, such as, Net Sales, Gross Margin, Profit Margin, Variable Margin, Operating Profit, etc.

  • Ability to understand and foresee implications of new information for current and future problem solving.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, tools, and techniques.

Job -Specific Knowledge

To perform this job successfully, the individual needs to demonstrate knowledge of these areas as they relate to the primary functions of the job.

  • Microsoft Office Products to include Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Pivot, MSQuery and PowerPoint.

  • TSQL

  • Ability to analyze large datasets.

  • Ability to write comprehensive reports.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is:

  • Lifting 75 lbs. with or without assistance

  • Climbing up to 10 ft with ladder

  • Occasional roof access may be necessary

  • Extensive walking 3-5 miles / day

  • Extensive driving 5-6 hours/day

  • Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling

  • Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces

  • Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment

  • Operating machinery and/or power tools
