We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Supply Chain Planning Analyst.
The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. Job Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Manage a portfolio of critical suppliers
- Accountability for supplier past due, current, and future schedules
- Collaborates with suppliers to obtain better promise date and negotiates with supplier to arrive at viable solution to meet customer needs
- Collaborates globally with Supply Chain, Operations, Transportation, Purchasing, and Quality Teams
- Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Mentor/train and advise employees on the processes and procedures of the functional area
- Ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written forms
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience within Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Logistics
- Moderate computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, etc.)
- Basic math and data analysis skills
Top Candidates will also have:
- Associates degree or higher
- 1+ year's experience with customer service
- Ability to successfully lead process improvements
- Knowledge of procedures and operations of the functional business areas
- Ability to lead technical interactions with an emphasis on resolutions (e.g. SWAT, Root Cause Analysis, and related technical sessions including internal and/or external participants)
- APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification
- Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma or Lean principles
Additional Information:
This role can sit in either of the Champaign or Morton, IL facilities
This position does not offer relocation
This position requires 10% or less domestic travel
