The Production Line Maintenance Mechanic will maintain an efficient workflow of products on the production aerosol lines, bulk fill files (pints, gallons, and 5 gallons) and ensure a safe and accurate work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Knowledgeable in all products, component and setup procedures for aerosol lines and bulk filling lines
Aerosol/bulk fill product changeover and setup
Assist in proper handling of all chemicals and proper packaging of all line products
Knowledge, minor maintenance, of inkjet inline box printers
Knowledge, minor maintenance of inline box tapers
Knowledge of inline labelers (both roll and glue lab)
Knowledge of conveyors for aerosols, small package boxes
Assist in the maintenance and repair of all line related equipment by dismantling and/or examining machinery to perform repairs using hand tools to replace broken or defective parts
Assist in quality control to ensure the products are manufactured to specification
Assist in the training of employees including agency temporary employees
Assist in the unloading of chemicals from delivery trucks into storage tank
Assist in upgrading and administering safety standards on the line at all times
Perform other duties as assigned
MARGINAL DUTIES
Assist in production in various work areas
Relocation of finished goods and raw goods via forklift
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to communicate and follow instructions
Detail oriented with ability to work efficiently and independently
Certified forklift driver
Basic mechanical skills
Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand for 8 hours, bend repeatedly and stoop
Experience on working/fixing aerosol lines preferred
Experience with bulk blending in bulk sizes up to 3,900 tanks preferred
