Description:

Our client is looking for an experienced supply chain professional to partner with their IT / PMO and Business Transformation teams to drive optimization through process, people and system solutions. The Position will be responsible for working day-to-day with your Procurement stakeholders to drive strategy, roadmap and plan to deliver priorities that meet the needs of current and future business transformation needs. They will be working with the senior leadership in Procurement and IT so prior experience working at that level is highly desirable. The incumbent should understand Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance business function and processes to influence and drive strategic decisions. Additionally, the position requires hands-on experience in gathering requirements, designing, building and testing in an ERP System and Ariba environment.

This individual will have the opportunity to work on multiple SAP Ariba module implementations to improve the company’s Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will have deep process re-engineering experience and be self-directed, motivated, and comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment. Experience optimizing global supply chain, with a focus on Procurement, SAP S4 HANA, SAP Ariba, and associated technology is preferred. Flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success. This individual should also have strong analytical, project management and leadership skills to handle a variety of activities and complexities spanning the organization, while working at both a very detailed and strategic level.

This position requires influential skills to drive changes resulting from either the process changes, additional functionalities or system enhancements. Expectations include defining/refining overall solution Journey Mapping and supporting delivery efforts for each facet of Business Change Management, including supporting PMO Alignment, Stakeholder Analysis and Communication, Change Impact and Management, Readiness Assessments, Organization/Operating Model Alignment, Job-Role Mapping, End User Training Strategy/Material Development/Train the Trainer, User Adoption Tracking and Management, and Value Realization.

The key aspect of this role is to provide leadership, direction, decision making, Change Management and Training/Learning expertise to support the Procurement Organizations role in System Implementation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Procurement workstream in order to meet the Corporate/Procurement Strategic objectives of projects

  • Lead/drive meetings and cadence with the senior leadership in Procurement for strategic priorities, key business transformation initiative or roadmap discussions.

  • Provide timely updates and elevate critical risks to project management and senior-management teams.

  • Participate in work session projects involving strategy, implementation support, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) optimization related to Information Technology (IT) operations, business processes, security, and data integrity. Obtain and document all requirements and gaps.

  • Work with functional stakeholders, both within workstream and other workstreams to define and manage business processes and technology roadmaps in support of long-term strategies.

  • Accountable for functional workstream and/or project activities

  • Lead/Participate in interactive discussions regarding requirements and drive it to solution.

  • Interact/partner with the business and other key stakeholder in other workstreams to understand their needs and to support the design, facilitation, testing, training and executing the change management and communications plan across Global Procurement

  • Stakeholder identification and management

  • Manage change to project scope & schedule

  • Lead virtual project team ensuring they are motivated, focused on the right tasks and aware of their timescales and roles in the overall project, in order to meet the schedule dates

  • Encourages open exchange of information through collaboration and teamwork, to enable balanced feedback on current and to be Procurement process, standard and custom SAP transacting must be clear.

  • Ensure resources required for project tasks are proactively scheduled with management.

  • Change Management (drive changes to business processes & organization model)

  • Provide up-to-date and accurate project status information to stakeholders, PMO, and Exec Sponsors on a regular basis.

  • Delegate project tasks to team based on skill sets and experience levels

  • Manage the coordination and development of test cases, guide the business users through the testing phase, development of training material and execution of end user training and identifying training participants.

  • Track risks, issues, actions during the lifecycle of projects and escalating, where required, to the PMO and project sponsors

  • Develop spreadsheets, process maps, test cases to document requirements, systems/process gaps and decisions

  • Compliance with IT/PMO policies and processes. Seek opportunities to improve the efficiency of both where applicable

  • Define and implement KPIs for Project metrics.

  • Where required from time to time, you may be required to perform extra duties as requested by your manager outside the scope of this job description.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business or relevant field

  • SAP Ariba (min. 3 years of experience)

  • Hands-on project and change management leadership experience within a large-scale SAP Ariba implementation using waterfall and/or Scrum/Agile methodology.

  • Minimum 2-4 years of work experience in Procurement/Supply Chain or related function

  • Should be able to demonstrate experience in building project plans, owning & executing projects.

  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations; resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere

  • Organized with a natural inclination for Procurement strategy and tactics

  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges

  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal

  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others

  • Proven communication skills, both written and verbal and listening with ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.

  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills a must have

  • Ability to have tough conversations and diplomatically address risk and resistance

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • The candidate should have subject matter expertise in at least one of the functional areas preferably in Procurement or Supply Chain execution

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Execution tools, SAP ERP system, SAP Ariba, etc. is required

  • Proficient knowledge of the systems implementation and development life cycles

  • SAP Ariba / SAP S4 HANA essential related to Procurement and Supply Chain

  • Manage multiple competing priorities

  • Modules: SCC, SLP, and BI

  • Integration with SAP and S4 HANA
