The Caterpillar Graduate Leadership Development Program seeks to develop future business leaders of Caterpillar. The program is three years in duration, with 3 one-year rotations in various functions across the enterprise, which include strategic, financial, and operational roles on corporate and business unit teams.
Program participants are placed into high impact positions with a focus on key strategic initiatives including services growth, digital transformation, operational excellence, and sustainability.
Program participants will have unique exposure to senior leaders in the organization and access to professional development opportunities such as participation in annual summits, site visits, and workshops. The GLDP will provide participants with an opportunity to chart their careers at Caterpillar and help them grow and add value to the organization, dealer network, and customer base.
GLDP Associate responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Developing high-quality strategic and financial recommendations by gathering and analyzing data from internal and external resources
Leading projects of varied scope that span across businesses and functions
Communicating strategic and financial recommendations and supporting data to senior executives and stakeholders to drive action
The candidate must also have, or be able to quickly develop:
Strong verbal and written presentation abilities to communicate complex strategic topics articulately
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and general business/financial acumen
An understanding of Caterpillar's businesses and products
Intellectual curiosity, global mindset, and passion for continual learning
Alignment with Caterpillar's Values in Action: Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Commitment, and Sustainability
Graduating or will have graduated from a graduate degreeprogram by summer 2025
The position will be based in Caterpillar's corporate headquarters in Irving, TX, and may involve occasional domestic or international travel (as needed, will vary by project).
