Job Description:

  • The CPSO applicant applies knowledge of SAP Policy as it relates to physical security, personnel security, or information systems security to resolve security issues directly related to the successful completion of the program

  • Throughout the life cycle of the program, the person in this position will coordinate with the overall government Program Security Officer as well as the local government security representative on matters of unique security issues and requirements to include access authorizations, visits, and other time critical security issues.

  • Maintain personnel security records for SAP related programs to include the use of JADE and DISS.

  • Perform initial access eligibility determinations and create PARs.

  • Process incoming and outgoing classified visit certifications

  • Conduct internal self-inspections and assist with Staff Assistance Visits and Customer Security Assessments

  • Submit Corrective Action Plan that identifies actions to establish compliance.

  • Maintain classified material accountability records to include inventory lists, receipt and transmittal records and final disposition documentation

  • Working knowledge in the preparation and maintenance of prime and subcontract DD254s

  • Ensure all classified materials are marked and controlled in accordance with contractual requirements

  • Review operational requirements and system specification documents to ensure applicable security requirements are addressed and incorporated into security processes

  • Interpret and implement security classification guidance

  • Investigate and document security violations/incidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions to program personnel/management

  • Develop and maintain the program's Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Emergency Action Plans

  • Attend, support and participate in program meetings, staff meetings, telecons, etc.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.

  • Must be able to interact with persons of varying importance, multi-cultural customers and personnel.

  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions.

  • Maintain the program's access control system

  • Develop/maintain program Fixed Facility Checklists to establish/update classified work areas, including maintaining necessary waiver/approval records.

  • Coordinate with the government Program Security Officer (PSO) for all actions to ensure a full accredited facility is achieved

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager (PM) to provide appropriate justification for individuals require access.

  • Coordinate to ship and/or receive classified material

  • Will need to assist with Physical Security of SCIF

  • Available to respond to alarms after hours when required

    Essential Functions:

  • Hold an ACTIVE Top Secret SCI security clearance

  • Well versed in the NISPOM and Government security requirements

  • Experience with JADE, and DISS

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access is required

  • The ability to pay close attention to detail is required.

  • Ability to work well with customers both internal and external.

  • Performs other duties as required

    Qualifications:

  • Requires knowledge of job area.

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access is required

  • The ability to pay close attention to detail is required.

  • Ability to work well with customers both internal and external.

  • Performs other duties as required.
