DIVISION DESCRIPTION :

ITW Specialty Films designs, manufactures and markets specialized coated and/or metalized films for the Financial Card, Security ID cards, and Medical Bag markets. The division leverages unique core competencies and technologies in films, foils, laminates, holography, and transfers to address customer needs globally. Operates in 5 locations (NA & EU). ITW Specialty Films has a fun, fast paced environment with a great dynamic support team.

Reporting to the Global Sales & Marketing Manager, the Product Manager role supports the development, assessment and execution of short and long-term strategies and tactics for assigned Security market. This entails participating in project and initiative aimed at driving product line growth and profitability. In their project, initiatives, and daily tasks, the Product Manager will have regular interaction and collaboration with cross-functional team member.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Global Sales & Marketing Manager & Product Manager in:

  • Defining product line's value proposition throughout the organization, ensuring competitive product positioning. This entails full pricing responsibility.

  • Leading the new product development from concept generation to execution, gathering voice of customers and leverage the information into developing solutions.

  • Developing and implementing product line strategies and associated measurable action plans to capitalize on key growth opportunities.

  • Effectively collect and synthesize market insights to drive the product lifecycle strategy.

  • Driving execution of the new product development roadmap through the stage gate process.

  • Conducting activities related to the development of business cases for new product innovation and enhancements.

  • Leading and executing new product rollout efforts including forecasting volumes, designing market tests, planning internal training, as well as communication plans.

  • Managing the financial performance of assigned product categories by utilizing ITW Toolbox and other key performance indicators.

  • Leading and communicating strategic competitive analysis and marketing assessment.

  • Evaluating and reporting on product performance - sales volume, sell through, margins and market share.

  • Participating in capacity planning efforts working with manufacturing other functional areas.

  • Developing the annual integrated marketing and segmentation plans.

  • Provide pricing direction for new business opportunities & reassessing existing product, mix & profit position.

  • Supporting our sales team product specific sales pitches and customers meetings.

  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety directions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or comparable discipline.

  • 1-4 years of relevant product management or marketing experience.

  • Influences effectively and drives alignment across functions.

  • Highly skilled at planning and project management.

  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.

  • Strong communications and presentation skills.

  • Financial acumen to analyze and report on product line results effectively.

  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word and Power Point

  • Work is normally performed in a typical office environment.

  • Limited exposure to physical risk. Some manufacturing plant exposures to machinery and flammable substances. Requires PPE (safety shoes and glasses) in plant areas.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel approximately 10-15% (domestic and international)

  • Work is normally performed in a typical office environment with little to no exposure to adverse conditions.

  • Position is based at ITW Headquarters office in Glenview, IL
