Serco is looking for a highly motivated individual with a technical/engineering background to join our Maritime Engineering, Technology and Sustainment (METS) team supporting Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Naval Base Venture in Port Hueneme, CA
This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain your active Secret level DoD clearance.
The ideal candidate will assist in the development of the Autonomous Maritime System (AMS) program budgets, schedules and work priorities. Plans, implements, and tracks the progress of unmanned air, surface, and undersea vehicle (UxV) projects. Perform with limited supervision/direction and regularly exercise discretionary and decision-making authority. This position supports a broad portfolio of AMS programs in the Ventura, CA/Port Hueneme geographic region.
The PM will be responsible for managing unmanned air, surface, and undersea vehicles (UxV) projects and related task orders for customers with revenue ranging from $3M - $100M. You will have budgetary responsibilities to include creating budgets, schedules, and technical performance requirements for UxV projects including conducting cost management through continual cost control and review. You will work requirements and operational fulfilment of new sensors, payloads, software, and hardware on UxV projects during various life-cycle stages including prototyping, and RDT&E.
In this role, you will be:
Planning, leading, and coordinating technical engineering and sustainment activities of project staff, engineers, testers, vessel operators, and support staff
Conducting program/project briefings and participating in technical exchange meetings with internal/external stakeholders of various UxV projects.
Providing expertise and work efforts that are focused on analyzing customer's business goals, objectives, needs and the general business environment to ensure the success of the project and swift resolution of issues.
Ensuring project work activities conform to contractual agreements and deliverables meet/exceed customer expectations.
Providing support to areas such as product implementation, enhancement, integration, or audits.
Responsible for oversight of project resources and operations to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Supporting Business Development opportunities and proposal writing/reviewing activities
Performing risk analysis, mitigation, and reporting.
Establishing project work objectives and allocate resources.
Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you will have:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Managment, Business Administration or a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years managing project(s) and related task orders for customer(s) with revenue ranging
An active Secret level DoD clearance is required prior to employment.
10+ years of relevant experience supporting DoD/USCG programs
Substantial experience managing programs of similar scale (or larger) to this effort
Experience with in-service DoD/USCG ship or weapon systems
Experience with Control Systems and Autonomy
PMP Certification
Proficiency in MS Office products to include Word, Power Point and Excel
The ability to work aboard large ships and within Fleet installations
Preferred Job Requirements:
Master's Degree (M.S.) in Engineering/Technical-related discipline plus 7+ years' experience, including supervisory experience.
5 years' prior military experience in unmanned vehicles.
Experience in systems engineering employment, exercising innovation in technical direction and successful development of both near and longterm project strategies.
Proficient in interfacing with customers, subcontractors, vendors, project teams and management stakeholders at all levels of engineering, integration, testing, sustainment and operations.
Active Top Security Clearance/SCI Clearance or eligibility.
Experience with the USV FoS, OUSV, or Sea Hunter/Sea Hawk MDUSV.
Any vessel operation experience in maritime operations to include boat captain, diving, and unmanned underwater or surface vehicles.
Travel Requirements:
Travel and at-sea support will be required
Minimum 25% travel CONUS/OCONUS
