Job Description:
We have and exciting career growth opportunity for a Project Leader to join our team at the Peoria Proving Ground (PPG) where prototype Cat machines go through test and development activities. In this role, you will lead process improvement projects across PPG to support facilities, operations, and engineering organizations. You will also support data analytics efforts at the facility. Additionally, you will play a key role in change management.
Among the many responsibilities in this role, you can expect to:
Work directly with PPG Managers to develop and execute continuous improvement and change management projects.
Support existing processes and tools (Built In Quality, Continuous Improvement Board, Test Efficiency, Metrics Board and Quality systems)
Develop analytics to support continuous improvement opportunity identification and project completion
The successful candidate must bring (basic qualifications):
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering or Business, or an equivalent level of work experience
Experience leading project teams in a work group or similar organization
1-3 years of experience in leading and supporting continuous improvement
Top candidates will also bring (desired qualifications):
Experience as a 6 Sigma / CPS / Lean Black Belt
Presentation experience
Group facilitation experience
Experience working in a product development environment
Experience working in a shop environment
Cross-functional knowledge and experience in at least one of the following areas:
Manufacturing / Operations
Engineering
Quality
