The Role:

Product Manager, Electric Meter Solutions

The Electric Meter and Products Team focuses on the electric utility markets. We build and deliver smart electric devices from electric meters to load control devices. These devices provide data that allows utilities to gain unprecedented insight, control, and efficiency in their management and delivery of electricity. If you have experience with electric meters, SCADA devices, and/or utility operations, this role is for you!

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

Formulate Strategy

  • Articulate product positioning and value proposition.

  • Define product roadmap and lifecycle (launch to end-of-life).

  • Conduct market research and gather Voice of Customer to specify market requirements and trends.

  • Develop business cases as the foundation for product brand decisions.

Execute Strategy

  • Manage pricing, product availability, training material and plan, communications material, etc.

  • Drive and take ownership of product launches and new product development.

  • Maintain competitive portfolio offerings and a healthy pipeline of new product ideas.

Monitor Performance

  • Monitor competition concerning market performance, product portfolio, and product performance.

  • Carefully follow up on sales, orders, and standard margin to understand if targets have been reached, and if not, to identify and drive actions to close the gap.

  • Understand wins and losses and market trends.

  • Accountable for the technical performance of the products as defined in the product specifications.

Collaborate, Communicate, and Lead

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise and consistently communicate product vision and goals.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial Teams, and Communications. Work closely with Engineering, R&D, Product Owners, Operations, and Service teams.

  • Participate in technical meetings, conferences, workshops, industry days, trade shows, and association events.

  • Build relationships with customers and engage in thought leadership activities by developing content (e.g. white papers) and/or presenting.

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar disciplines preferred.

  • Electric Metering or SCADA experience.

  • Business aptitude.

  • Product management experience.

  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Self-starter with high motivation to achieve goals.

  • Passion to solve real-world resource management problems using technology.
