The Schedule Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of schedule evaluations on the Engineering / Procurement / Construction (EPC) Integrated Project Schedule (IPS). The Analyst is responsible for providing a number of schedule fidelity assessments, schedule validations, and schedule performance metrics. The successful individual must be able to produce visual aids and graphics from scheduling tools and schedule analytics software tools. This individual must have good communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work closely with contractors and vendors regarding all aspects of schedule management philosophies and techniques.
Southern Nuclear, a subsidiary of Southern Company, manages and operates six nuclear power electric generating plants that provide approximately 20 percent of the electricity used in Alabama and Georgia. Southern Nuclear is leading the nuclear renaissance by building the first new U.S. nuclear reactors in more than 25 years. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum:
Associates Degree or equivalent
3 years' experience with CPM scheduling techniques and software
5 years's large construction site scheduling or schedule analysis experience
Personal computer (PC) knowledge and supplemental software skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Preferred:
BS/BA degree or higher in a Science or related technical field
PMP certification and/or project management experience
Nuclear Power Construction experience is a plus
AP1000 or similar PWR Nuclear systems experience or training
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for analyzing the EPC Integrated Project Schedule (IPS) within the guidance of the INPO -Principles for Excellence in Nuclear Project Construction-
Responsible for the development of detailed graphs and reports depicting schedule fidelity metrics
Responsible for the development and maintenance of detailed schedule performance metrics
Responsible to translating contractor detailed schedules into higher level schedules for construction oversight purposes and leadership analysis
Solicits best practices internally and externally to improve organizational effectiveness and increase contractor engagement with the customer
Responsible for hosting/supporting the various Project Controls and Management process meetings with planning and schedule related information
