WSP is currently initiating a search for a CEI Senior Inspector Building Structures for an on-going Florida Department of Transportation project out of our Ocala office. Your Impact
Job Description:
Responsible for being fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the building construction to include masonry work and familiarization with the local and State building codes and ordinances
Monitoring on-site construction activities
Inspecting ( sampling and testing ) materials in accordance with client's scope of services (plans, specifications, and special provisions)
Maintaining detailed accurate records of daily operations and significant events
Preparing inspection reports ( Daily Work Reports )
Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control (in accordance with the client's requirements)
Transporting samples to be tested in a Department laboratory or appropriate facility
Fulfilling other duties as needed
Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
Responsible for performing under the general supervision of the Assistant Project Administrator and/or Project Administrator
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Eight (7) years of experience in inspection of building construction
Four (4) years of experience in performing highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, making and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests
Valid Driver's License
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening
Preferred Qualifications (possess or have the ability to acquire within 1 year):
CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I and II
CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I and II
CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I and II
CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structures)
IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level I
CTQP Final Estimates Level I and II
FDOT Intermediate MOT
Nuclear Radiation Safety
Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification
Program for Inspectors and Contractors
PCC Paving Inspection (TC3)
