This opportunity entails setting up, modifying and customizing systems to meet project needs, business procedures, workflows, change approvals and client and HNTB needs. Building workflow and reporting into system when possible. Communicating to project teams and clients. Training others on the system including the development of training documents. Using a variety of software and fully understanding and leveraging the functionality of each. Generally, working on medium complexity projects and/or supporting a Senior Business Analyst on higher complexity projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Conducts requirements gathering and configuration work sessions. Documents results of discussions regarding project requirements and procedures as related to their application and use within project management tools.

  • Drafts project procedures based on discussions with project team, documented requirements, and contractual documents.

  • Supports the cross-functional teams in developing project procedures and/or implementing procedures within project management system(s).

  • Reviews or builds workflow diagrams to graphically represent business processes and procedures.

  • Develops training documents for system administrators and project personnel. Trains project team members and system administrators.

  • Recommends and / or assists project team in selection of appropriate project management control system (PMCS) technology solutions to support requirements of a program/project. Supports PMCS configuration sessions or other function-specific tools to support project requirements.

  • May provide ongoing support to project team for configuration, adjustment, and reporting from PMCS systems on moderate to complex engagements.

  • Reviews procedures and systems implementation across project to drive consistency between procedures and system use.

  • Leads technology support team on moderate engagements.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Information Technology or Business and 5 years related experience, or

  • In lieu of education, 9 years IT business process analysis, quality management system development, and/or project controls experience

What You'll Bring:

  • Apply process improvement analytical tools to identify root causes of waste or business inefficiencies.

  • Identify, plan and implement process and behavioral changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness by reducing wasted time, rework, etc. resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with customers and stakeholders, including cross-discipline and functional teams, to address and problem-solve issues, concerns, and opportunities.

  • Provide clients and project stakeholders with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on achievements.

  • Evaluate process improvement information, including policy and procedures to identify inefficiencies and coordinate to determine a future state that improves efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Use appropriate measurement, analysis and evaluation methods to accurately identify and document process improvements

  • Develop procedures, workflow diagrams, infographics, logic models, presentations, reports, systems maps, key performance indicators, and other governance documents leveraging input from subject matter experts.

  • Research information to support the project team as needed.

  • Perform administrative tasks such as coordination, scheduling meetings, recording meeting minutes, and updating project artifacts, etc.

  • Perform technical discipline tasks including qualitative and quantitative analysis, writing reports, gathering and documenting requirements, and producing deliverables for assigned projects.

  • Implements the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.

  • Assist project managers and other team members with proactive project analysis and documentation for project meetings.

What We Prefer:

  • Experience in process improvement implementation: lean/six sigma, agile, systems thinking

  • Comfort working on site with client in an dynamic, ambiguous environment: ability to pivot, ability to influence and shape work, progress, and processes without ownership, build trust-based relationships

  • 3 years related experience in project management, consulting, operations management , or similar position

  • Experience with quality management and ISO 9001:2015
