Our Water Group is currently recruiting a Water Resources Engineer with experience in design of restoration of water resources in our Gainesville, Florida location .

In this position you will assist with technical aspects of engineering design projects, project management, and development of proposals as it relates to water resources projects, specifically focusing on stormwater, dredging and wetland restoration and permitting projects, or similar skill sets.
Key Responsibilities
Engineer with a background in Environmental, Civil, or Agricultural Engineering needed with strong technical skills to help deliver quality products to customers in an expanding marketplace.
Conduct both field and office elements of projects.
Conduct water quality, hydrologic, and groundwater models; develop water budgets; understanding of structural components, specifically as related to water resources design improvements.
Prepare erosion and sediment control plans.
Using CAD, prepare design plans, construction bid documents, permitting documents and conduct construction phase services.
Work with staff on project tasks in a team environment.
Strong commitment to company's "Beyond Zero" safety program; follow company safety standards, site safety standards and maintain safe workplace practices.
Basic/Required Qualifications
Engineer with 3-5 years of experience preferred.
Minimum BS Engineering.
Must have EI and have or be working towards obtaining the PE.
Strong skills in water resources engineering, including environmental, water quality, hydrologic modeling, AutoCAD design and construction oversite.
Specific knowledge of the hydrology and water quality issues of Florida.
An understanding of climate change
Client relationships and project experience in Florida required.
Experience with the following hydrologic and hydraulic models: ICPR and HEC.
Proficiency in using the Suite of MS Office products.
Strong effective oral and written communication skills; proven ability to prepare reports and proposals.
Must have attention to detail
Must understand and apply cost control, scheduling and risk management
Must have skills in mentoring and motivating junior staff
Must be able to travel locally and out of area, as necessary. Majority of travel will be within Florida.
The position is located in the Gainesville, FL office.
Must pass background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
