The exciting world of Caterpillar's Earthmoving Division is in search of a Sales & Operations Planning Coordinator at our Peoria, IL facility. As a Sales & Operations Planning Coordinator, you will be responsible for the execution of the S&OP process within the product group, including providing oversight for process conformance. This role's span of control will vary due to business differences including value stream complexity, size, the number of facilities and locations, and sourcing strategies.

Specifically in this role you can expect to:

  • Participates in the Machine Business Review, where inputs from dealers, economists and marketing occur

  • Coordinator reviews and manages that data to ensure it is correct and that demand signals, including both short and long-term forecasts are clear before provided to the next process.

  • Organizes and leads the supply meeting and the pre-S&OP meeting

  • Plays a key role in ensuring Product Groups maximize PINS, improve availability and maximize profitability

  • Make recommendations for S&OP Metrics Targets, and monitors process performance

  • Understand all indicators/metrics within the S&OP process, including industry, sales, finished goods inventory, production, commercial and factory orders and availability measures

  • Understand S&OP Process Compliance Metrics.

  • Understand how the S&OP Process will affect them, including STIP, OPACC, PINS, Margin, Availability, Finished Goods Inventory and Inventory Turns.

To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree preferable in Administration, Economy or International Business or Engineering.

  • 5+ years of experience in S&OP (Scheduling, Production Scheduling, Master Scheduling, Machine / Components Orders Management, Industrial Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing, Sales Operations Rep, Marketing Demand/Velocity Manager or Analyst)

  • Availability up to 10% of the time

Top candidates will also bring:

  • Prior experience as a CPS Black Belt or CPS Master Black Belt highly desired
