Summary You will serve as a Supply Technician (HAZMAT) in the Supply Management Department, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Management Branch of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will perform Authorized User List (AUL) processing, validation, and maintenance functions. You will perform all item management roles regarding item establishment/removal, stock replenishment, customer order processing, outstanding container management; and all other functions involved with hazardous material management. You will receive and process customer order requests for hazardous materials. You will collect and maintain hazardous material operations and usage data and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports utilizing N-ERP, Material Management Tool-MB51 (MS Access), and various website/programs. You will maintain automated inventory records by conducting periodic physical inventories of hazardous materials. You will physically handle hazardous materials through the use of all types of material handling equipment and transport vehicles available to the hazardous material workforce. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Supply Technician (HAZMAT) specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a working knowledge of Navy Enterprise Resources Program (N-ERP) and Consolidated Hazardous Material Reutilization and Inventory Management (CHRIMP) supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions to perform a wide range of complex supply technical support work, related to item management and control of hazardous materials, in order to ensure the effective operation of ongoing hazardous material (HAZMAT) supply activities. I have experience utilizing various automated supply and hazardous material inventory control systems to monitor and maintain inventory of hazardous materials; process and validate supply transactions; and collect, maintain and use data to create supply and environmental reports. I have experience responding both orally and in writing to customer requests and requirements. Examples of specialized experience may include performing the following: 1) Applying an extensive working knowledge of established methods and procedures of Navy Enterprise Resource Programs (N-ERP), Hazardous Material (HM), and Consolidated Hazardous Material Reutilization and Inventory Management Program (CHRIMP) management regulations and policies to perform a wide assortment of complex supply transactions, inventory management, and warehousing functions; 2) Performing Authorized User List (AUL) processing, validation, and maintenance functions, to include all tasks related to hazardous material management, via N-ERP; 3) Utilizing a number of hazardous material inventory management information systems such as: DOD Shelf-Life Management System, Hazardous Material Information Resource System (HMIRS) and FEDLOG to monitor and maintain inventory of both supply and hazardous materials, and conduct research, reconcile discrepancies and make necessary adjustments; 4) Utilizing a knowledge of environmental regulations and reporting requirements necessary to prepare complex supply and environmental reports in regards to hazardous materials; and 5) Physically handling hazardous material transportation and movement, in accordance with approved material handling guidelines.
