Are you looking for field experience working with Cat dealers, but desire flexibility and reasonable travel? The Americas Central Division is looking for a Senior Sales Representative (also known as an Aftermarket Services Representative) to cover dealers in North America through providing optimized coverage for Construction Industries (CI). The Senior Sales Representative will be responsible for delivering growth in a diverse dealer territory and transform how we do business. You will join a dynamic team of highly motivated people and a team culture that values collaboration and teamwork. Become part of the CISD Americas Central Division and directly influence Caterpillar's strategic growth initiative to double services growth!
What You'll Do / Job Duties and Responsibilities
Achieve annual business plan including CI Sales to Users (STU), Customer Value Agreement (CVA) growth, rebuild growth and Prioritized Service Events (PSEs) won for the assigned dealer territories.
Partner with dealer's parts and service sales management, sales teams, and marketing management to influence sales execution and sales funnel management.
Deliver profitable growth leveraging the Four Disciplines of Execution (-4DX-) methodology.
Understand, document and communicate customer requirements, competitive landscape and other market intelligence to Services Development, product groups and/or other internal stakeholders.
Optimize parts sales variance utilization within budget to drive incremental business.
Manage travel & entertainment budget.
How You'll be Successful (Basic Qualifications)
Prior experience in a dealer-facing field assignment (or equivalent)
Solution-oriented attitude, persistence and resilience, and customer focus mindset.
Proven strong organization skills to self-manage time and prioritize responsibilities.
Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgement.
Commitment to travel 30% of the time.
Additional Key to Success (Desired Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience in aftermarket and services business. Knowledge of construction industry trends, directions, major issues; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Build strong relationships within Caterpillar matrix organization to influence results for assigned dealer territories.
Ability to engage with all levels of an organization (individual contributor through management) to motivate, influence change, and execute with ambiguity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating both empathy and assertiveness when communicating a need or defending a position.
Territory and Location Details
Preferred work locations: Peoria, IL; Nashville, TN; Indianapolis, IN.
This is a position that covers four dealers in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The selected candidate should reside within territory or be within commuting distance to a major airport if unable to work from one of the preferred locations listed above.
Open to considering other locations within the U.S. that will service this territory well.
Relocation assistance is available only to Peoria, IL for this position.
