Position Description
Serco, Inc is growing and is looking for Top Talent to join their Accounts Payable team. You will be a key member of the General Ledger Organization. You will interface with other corporate departments (Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounts Payable, HR, Payroll, Billing, Accounting Systems, Compliance and Reporting) and operational finance teams. In this role you will be responsible for:
Journal entry preparation
Bank account reconciliations
Fixed asset Subledger tracking and analysis
Account reconciliation preparation
Month-end close responsibilities for multiple entities
Account analysis
Trend Analysis
Cost allocations
Financial statement analysis
Special projects as assigned
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent plus 5+ years industry specific experience.
Government contracting experience preferred.
CPA or CPA candidate is preferred.
Proficiency in Costpoint 7 preferred
Proficiency in MS Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
Requires broad understanding of responsibilities and functions of the general ledger function.
Must have solid verbal and written communication skills, be organized, and have the ability to multitask and follow-up on outstanding items.
Understands the functional impact of the flow of transactions.
Requires the ability to follow stated policies and procedures.
Must have good customer service skills.
Must be able to able to work independently and be successful in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
Experience with Blackline preferred.
Works under general supervision; reporting to the Director, Accounting.
