As a Senior Manufacturing and Quality Engineer, you will be supporting various consulting projects for Air Force acquisition programs. This position will initially support the USSOCOM Armed Overwatch program. This is a hybrid position that will require you to work at the government office at Wright-Patterson AFB, Serco's Beavercreek, OH office, and telework.
In this role, you will:
Plan and apply manufacturing engineering analysis and related methodologies in support of major weapon system modernization and sustainment programs
Apply Digital Manufacturing Process Modelling
Plan and execute Quality Systems Analysis and Supplier Quality Management
Support Material Review Board (MRB) process
Conduct Production Capacity Assessments and Producibility and Manufacturability Assessments
Support development and review of program and contract documentation
Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals
Perform technical risk assessments and develop mitigation plans
Work collaboratively with mid- and senior-level government and prime contractor personnel to complete task assignments
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Current DoD SECRET security clearance with Background Investigation within the last 10 years or on Continuous Evaluation
A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
15 years of production systems analysis and systems engineering experience (in support of fighter/bomber, mobility and/or intelligence/surveillance/reconnaissance aircraft)
Extensive knowledge of Air Force and OSD systems engineering and DoD acquisition policies and procedures and application to development, production, and fielding of weapon systems
Additional desired experience and skills:
Master's Degree in an engineering related field
Five years of Manufacturing experience in a Government Acquisition Program Office
DAWIA Production, Quality & Manufacturing (Level III)
Extensive knowledge of Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRA) involving Production and Manufacturing-based strategies, documentation, and implementation into major weapon systems
Broad experience with development, coordination and communication of manufacturing engineering-based strategies and recommendations with mid- and senior-level Air Force and OSD personnel
Ability to work effectively both independently and a part of a collaborative team
Clear understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition organizations
