Job Purpose:
Parts Pricing and Sales Variance team is looking for a talented and motivated Analytics Manager to support the parts pricing mission by expanding the use of data, analytics, tools and automation for decision making, profitability improvements and services growth. As a Parts Pricing & Sales Variance Analytics Manager, you will lead a team of data scientists, data engineers, and analytics professionals.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Caterpillar uses quantitative methods such as business simulations, data mining, modeling, advanced statistical techniques to solve real problems. As a Parts Pricing & Sales Variance Analytics Manager, you will be tasked with solving problems of high complexity and business impact.
The principal responsibility of Parts Pricing & Sales Variance Analytics Manager is to develop and execute the analytics strategy enabling differentiated aftermarket pricing solutions.
The Parts Pricing & Sales Variance Analytics Manager will:
Manage AWS Cloud resources, data pipelines, and data as a service to external customers.
Deploy and support the parts pricing management system.
Maintain and expand and existing portfolio of analytics products and services.
Maintain and expand the pricing automation portfolio.
Provide technical guidance and support key strategic projects.
Manage data governance for parts pricing domain.
Lead diverse team of individual contributors and supervisors.
Work across Parts Pricing & Sales Variance team and business partners to develop engagement strategy for new analytics offerings.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
7+ years of professional experience in analytics positions.
4+ years of experience leading analytics projects, acting as a team lead, or systems deployment.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Demonstrate strong leadership, initiative, interpersonal skills and customer focus.
Knowledge of Caterpillar aftermarket and associated parts data is desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills and evidence of continuous learning in the analytics field.
Excellent communicator with non-technical and business audiences.
Experience with Snowflake / AWS / PySpark is a plus.
