Job Description:
As the Retail Distribution and Analytics Manager, you will develop strategies for distribution, dealer development, product development, and analytical research specifically related to the retail transformation of Caterpillar and our dealers.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Leading the daily work and strategic direction of at least 2 employees focused on Caterpillar and Retail Transformation in North and South America in addition to up to 3 reports in the marketing talent development space
Implementation of a 5 Step Retail Strategy focused on Customer Needs and the Retail Journey at dealers across the Americas
Managing a $2M+ budget for dealer initiatives aimed at expanding retail sales of prime products
Developing and managing new projects to support dealer sales and profitability
Hiring, developing, and training a team to help achieve desired results
Managing growth plans in cooperation with dealers in their retail transformation
Responsibility for Net Loyalty Scores, and new customer growth
Responsibility for Expansion of Physical Dealer Coverage
Support of the development of online sales platforms and integration with Shop.cat.com
Representing Building Construction Products on the Caterpillar customer experience council
Representing BCP on Marketing and Sales Excellence Program enhancements
Supporting the retail aftermarket framework and initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of analytics/digital marketing experience
A minimum of 2 years of retail/distribution experience
Prior experience in dealer/sales network roles
Experience in dealer/sales financial management, understanding profitability drivers and tactics for cost control
Bachelor's degree
Top candidates will also have:
A relevant Master's Degree
Prior field rep experience
Experience in Caterpillar/Dealer retail business or initiatives
Internal cat.com, Cat Digital, GIS, or RDE Experience
Strong interest and track record of analytics, strategic vision, and execution
