Electrician - Chevron Co-Gen
Position will be located at the Chevron Co-Gen Plant
Position will be covered by the Memorandum of Agreement between Mississippi Power and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
Job Requirements
Maintenance electrical instrument & control experience preferred. The position will be filled at a Journeyman Level.
Job Knowledge
Intermediate or Advanced electrical aptitude required.
Minimum of 5 years' experience as Journeyman power plant electrician preferred.
Experience using hand tools, electrical meters, and calibrators.
Advanced knowledge of motors, controllers, switchgear, relays, transformers, generators, and AC/DC systems.
Experience in electronics, instrumentation, program configuration, distributed/process control systems, PLC's, DCS, and plant electrical is preferred.
Understanding of power plant systems preferred.
Must have the ability to analyze electrical/electronic circuits, perform electrical/electronic testing and calibration, work in confined spaces.
Experience with gas turbines, Heat Recovery Steam Generation (HRSG) and demineralizers preferred.
Proficiency with Maximo work order management software.
Intermediate or Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel, preferred.
Contractor coordinating experience preferred.

Must be willing to respond to call-out and work overtime and weekends.
Successful completion of the POSS/MASS pre-employment test is a requirement.
