The Secure Cloud Engineering team within the Identity division is looking for a talented
engineering manager who is passionate about large scale problems and can help us drive the
next wave of innovation within our secure cloud services team. A successful candidate must
have the skills of a manger and the proven experience of an individual contributor. As a
manager, the candidate should be able to attract new talent to the organization, have
experience leading a team, and a record of delivering results. As a proven individual

Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities include leading a team of engineers to deliver the next set of features
and optimizations. You would have opportunities to deliver significant customer and business
impact, lead the team in an agile way, and be hands on with technical problems. You would
collaborate with teams across Identity division and Microsoft to achieve common goals and to
drive impact across the entire Microsoft cloud, as authentication and identity are core to Azure
and Office 365. Successful candidates are decisive leaders that are capable of driving through
ambiguity amidst evolving requirements, environments, topologies, and workloads.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Technical leadership, experience in high performing, agile teams
- 5+ years of industry experience developing commercial software applications or services
- 2+ years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with public government organizations and secure environments.
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline
- Great communication skills to collaborate across groups and work effectively within the team
- Expertise in any modern continuous delivery/deployment systems
- Working experience in online services/large scale systems is a plus
- Working experience in system architecture and design
- Coding and problem-solving skills
- Able to ramp up new technologies fast
Security Clearance Requirements:
Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/orgovernment security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirementsinclude, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Candidates must have an active TS (preferably TS/SCI) or be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (withfull scope polygraph) or have an active TS/SCI and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with fullscope polygraph). This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI (with full scope polygraph) clearance.
Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft CloudBackground Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
