Information Security Advisor Remote, W@H Atlanta, GA location preferred -At this time, Anthem will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.-

Maintains enterprise information security policies, technical standards, guidelines, procedures, and other elements of an infrastructure necessary to support information security in compliance with established company policies, regulatory requirements, and generally accepted information security controls. Responsible for the delivery of strategic network security, access control and secure transaction/messaging solutions. Ensures security solutions involving the use of technologies are well-conceived, designed and implemented in compliance with enterprise standards.
This is an opportunity to play a critical role in transforming the way we advance proactive protections, operational adherence and excellence for Anthem information assets and data aligned to the Governance Business Division and its subsidiaries. This position reports directly to the BISO at the Government Business Division (GBD) a division of Anthem, Inc. The goal of the successful candidate will be to assist in maturing the Information Security and Risk Management program across the Government Business Division
How you will make an impact:
Align GBD security, risk and compliance teams with Anthem enterprise teams and integrate improved visibility and service processes with peer security organizations (IAM, Auditing and Controls, Cyber Security & Threat Management, Security Technology Services, Cloud Security, IT Security Architecture, Vulnerability Management)
Partner with the CIO of GBD, and internal Anthem leaders of technology and services on the execution of the cyber security, compliance, and risk management strategy.
Assists BISO by providing analyses, projections, and reporting, synthesizing business, and technical information to key stakeholders with high attention to detail.
Help drive implementation of Cyber security technologies, processes, and work with stakeholders to develop, implement and maintain security capabilities and compliance monitoring for the business.
Partner with Incident Response teams to respond, investigate and track security incidents.
Help manage security assessments and remediation efforts as applicable.
Partners with leaders of initiatives to scale high value, technology-enabled solutions identified by the GBD CIO, identify resource and operational risk deficiencies or gaps, align to quality and cost expectations, and help develop program/project tracking plans.
Leads or plans implementations for access management and network security technologies
Develops testing plans to ensure quality of implementation.
Provides system and network architecture support for information and network security technologies.
Provides technical support to business and technology associates in risk assessments and implementation of appropriate information security procedures, standards, and technologies
Represents major upgrades and business system replacements in change control
Oversees Enterprise mix of vendor services
Designs & engineers repetitive technical solutions based on business requirements and defined technology standards.
Develops support procedures and performance metrics reports.
Must be capable of providing top-tier support for 4 or more of the information security technology common body of knowledge skill sets:
1) Access Control

3) Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning
4) Cryptography
5) Information Security and Risk Management
6) Legal, Regulations
7) Compliance and Investigations
8) Operations Security

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Requires BS/BA degree in Information Technology or related field of study and a minimum of 8 years' experience in Information Security, Cyber Risk and Data Regulatory Compliance Operations, IT or related field ; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Requires experience in planning and designing highly complex systems.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
Security Certifications: CISSP or other technical security certifications (e.g. Systems Security Certified Practitioner, Certification and Accreditation Professional) strongly preferred.
Broad knowledge of foundational IT infrastructure components such as Active Directory, network, and logical access protections for virtual, mobile and cloud services, modern applications, and data repositories.
Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving data security and protection requirements that satisfy data protections established by Anthem policies, and US and State data privacy requirements.
Strong communication, relationship building and influencing skills; strong drive and ability to influence and support others in achieving commitments and meeting established deadlines.
Operational cyber risk and compliance experience working in a large organization.
US government sector, Financial, Insurance, Healthcare, or other regulated industry experience.
Experience with security by design, operational compliance, and proactive risk prevention practices.
Project management experience with a track record of achieving results.
Relevant industry certification or comparable experience, such as GSEC, CISM, CERA, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP.
