Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Fuels Specialist in the Fuel Department of NAVSUP FLC NORVA GF. Responsibilities You will manage and direct the daily operations and maintenance of five geographically separated fuel terminals, operated by a private contractor under DLA Energy contract. You will serve as the COR for this contract. You will serve as the Director of the NAVSUP FLC Norfolk Fuel Department and the Regional Fuel Director. You will furnish professional and technical counsel on matters such as operational logistics problems, interpretation of higher level Navy and DoD bulk Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants (POL) directives. You will develop long range plans; liaise with high level personnel in other organizations such as NAVSUP Energy, DLA Energy, NAVSUP and other Services. You will develop and manage the budget, including the preparation and justification of requirements. You will oversee the execution of that budget, using NAVSUP, Navy, DOD and Congressional procedures. You will ensure petroleum and maintenance operations comply with environmental regulations. You will plan work activities; manage and supervise the assigned Fuel Department staff. You will make selections, evaluate performance, takes disciplinary action and identifies training needs of subordinate employees Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Facilitating and overseeing bulk petroleum management programs and petroleum facilities management programs; 2) Coordinating with appropriate activities such as NAVSUP Energy, DLA Energy, Army and Air Force commands; 3) Interpreting higher-level DOD Petroleum management policies and procedures logistics/management; 4) Keeping abreast of technological innovations that will impact Department and Regional programs.
