Overview

NFCU is looking for a highly energetic leader that has excellent people leader skills as well as a strong technical aptitude. The Senior Manager provides people and technical leadership and direction through managers and is accountable for the performance and results of related teams/functions. The Sr. Manager - Cybersecurity Technology Operations creates, implements, and oversees highly complex Cybersecurity systems to meet specific Cybersecurity needs and evolving compliance standards.

Responsibilities

- Lead a team of Cybersecurity engineering professionals responsible for planning, design, implementation, and ongoing support of Cybersecurity systems of high complexity to fulfill business needs.

- Provide sophisticated technical leadership.

- Develop and nurture a team of Cybersecurity professionals by motivating, mentoring, and hiring critical talent.

- Effectively manage cross-functional internal and external team collaboration, and communications.

- Prioritization, planning of projects and features, stakeholder management and tracking of commitments.

- Supports, implements, and promotes standard configuration and change management, processes and practices.

- Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to Cybersecurity standards and processes.

- Actively lead the response to incidents and outage related to Cybersecurity Technologies in an expeditious and urgent manner.

- Ensure compliance to change control requirements.

Qualifications

- 20 years of general IT experience

- 6 years of dedicated IT Cybersecurity experience

- 15 years of leadership experience

- Extensive experience building and maintaining relationships with lines of business, team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts to influence key decisions.

- Extensive experience developing and implementing team strategy, establishing team priorities, and setting team goals that achieve financial, performance, security and compliance goals.

- Significant experience developing and implementing security standards and requirements.

- CISSP and GIAC preferred.

- Strong analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results and relationships.

- Experience handling/storing/disposal of highly sensitive encryption keys.

- Experience physically inspecting systems that protect sensitive encryption keys.

- Experience with physical security measures used to protect highly sensitive encryption keys.

- Communication, collaboration, and people management skills

- Understanding of desktop and server operating systems.

- Understanding of virtualization technologies and containers.

- Understanding of cloud concepts such as SaaS and IaaS.

- Understanding of routing and switching.

- Understanding of general security technologies such as DLP, Web Application Firewall, and vulnerability scanning.

- Ability to work withing a mature technology change control process.

- Understanding of Security Architecture principles and concepts.

- Understanding of secure system authentication concepts.

- Communication, collaboration, and people management skills.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
