Responsibilities
Provides operational support that directly affects the business unit functions
Completes and/or monitors internal processes and performs quality control to ensure adherence to regulations, Navy Federal policies, and industry practices
Identifies, research, and documents operational correlations and may administer operational workflow and functions
Detects errors and initiates or arranges for corrective action; follows through with cognizant parties to ensure resolution
Assists management or analysts with developing and recommending enhancements to improve operational processes and procedures
Assists in the development of user requirements; may test new/enhanced systems and assist in training staff
Acts as the business unit point-of-contact for cross-organization matters; resolves/oversees resolution of customer issues
Develops and applies a sound understanding of the business unit's functions and their relationship to those of other business units
Serves as a backup to other staff members during peak business volume
Assists management and/or analysts in compiling, reviewing, and preparing data to be used in the analysis of operations, services, and products
Researches, gathers, and synthesizes data; presents conclusions and recommendations to management
Prepares summaries, analyses, reports, charts, graphs, instructions, memoranda, and manuals/reference materials for benchmarking purposes or for inclusion in required and ad hoc reports
Reviews studies, reports, and surveys and provides summaries to department leadership
Supports projects and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
Participates in the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing programs, campaigns, and special offers
Administers project plans, coordinates the collection of input from functional areas, and assists in the execution of related activities
Research audit findings, prepares response, and forwards to management
Participates in the review of Navy Federal Instructions, policy/procedural documents, and study/survey responses
Maintains knowledge of corporate business plans, marketing efforts, and operational/business requirements
Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
Uses discretion to modify work practices and processes to achieve results and/or improve efficiency
Analyzes facts and general principles to develop alternative courses of action based upon precedent/policy
Develops and presents alternatives and recommendations which have impact and/or complexity
Leads portions of projects or projects that are routine within the business unit or function
Coordinates reporting input from various sources and creates, maintains, and delivers reports, queries, and data to analysts and/or management
Participates in the implementation of changes and may coordinate or deliver training on new processes
Acts as a resource to others regarding business unit's functions and resolves or arranges for resolution of operational issues, inquiries, and complaints
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Demonstrated work experience that provided knowledge and understanding of the processes, procedures, systems, policies, and activities of the business unit
Ability to multitask, work independently, and exercise initiative and judgment
Ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external contacts
Familiarity with training techniques and practices
Proficient using, interpreting, and explaining regulations, instructions, policies, and procedures and presenting findings and conclusions clearly and concisely
Ability to represent the business unit in task groups and planning meetings
Strong research, planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of, and experience with, credit union or retail banking operations

Responsibilities
Ensures effective management of projects from inception through implementation
Defines, develops and executes project plans, including scope definition, expectations, activities, cost estimates, and schedules
Works with the business group to determine and understand business requirements
Manages projects from concept through the planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, and transition phases
Develops clear and concise "big picture" of projects within Navy Federal organizational goals
Directs and leads Project Teams by developing and coordinating work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and training
Manages project budgets including risk and impact of changes to project plans
Identifies and minimizes project risks or constraints that would impact project deliverables
Identifies, communicates, and resolves branch/division/department areas of concern, or cross-organizational that may impede or impact other projects/initiatives
Maintains/archives project documentation
Ensures project deliverables are met in accordance with customers' expectations
Sets, manages, and communicates client expectations for the project
Oversees project progress to ensure project documentation and schedules are in compliance with previously agreed requirements and standards

Qualifications
Experience leading and/or managing small projects or portions of larger projects

Knowledge and understanding of contracts, including language, intricacies, scope, and risk management

Overview
To manage, influence, and lead development direction and optimal performance of business unit program initiatives. Develop, implement, evaluate, and lead users to comply with best practices to ensure timely and effective channel/ program delivery and administration. To manage and facilitate implementation and coordination of small, multiple programs, or portions of a larger program that affect and involve business unit activities. Ensure management review of initiatives from concept through planning, analysis, design, and testing, implementation, and transition phases. Responsibilities
Review program related data using performance measurements and indicators to identify areas for improvement and potential risk and develop action plans for each indicator or area identified and lead change management
Consult with leadership and business partners to effectively define KPIs and short/long-term goals and objectives, initiatives, and actions plans
Analyze overall program effectiveness; identify and address areas of opportunity and make recommendations
Identify and collaborate with management regarding the current and future needs and trends for programs and channels based on feedback
Identify, scope, document, coordinate, and implement business solution requirements in accordance with program/channel and project goals

Overview
The Business Lending Operations team is looking for a Business Analyst Intern to support the Business Lending department. The team is responsible for the operational functions of the Business Loan portfolio to include performing pre and post closing loan processes, disbursement of loan proceeds, maintaining loan and collateral files, entering loans onto credit union systems, and other administrative and servicing functions of the portfolio.
The intern for this position will assist with processing investor remittances, preparing portfolio reports, reconciling general ledgers, and performing other reporting and servicing functions. Responsibilities
Provide support to assigned department; may work on small projects or portions of larger projects
Involved with financial reporting and management of day-to-day reporting operations
Support business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments
Perform research and analysis; may include quantitative and/or qualitative analysis
Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as priority
Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support
May provide direct member service in high volume situations
Process and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reports
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university, preferably pursuing a degree in accounting or finance
Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions
Ability to adapt to new technologies
Ability to provide exceptional customer service
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Overview
The Real Estate Lending Data Solutions team is located within the Technology Branch of Navy Federal's Real Estate Lending department. Data Solutions is responsible for providing and governing data for Division and Enterprise use. The team is responsible for the continuity of ETL (Extract Transform and Load) automation from a variety of source and systems of record, both on premise and cloud. Data is warehoused and maintained in a high availability data environment (SQL) and is consumed by partners throughout Real Estate Lending and the Enterprise.
The successful candidate will gain valuable insight into Navy Federal's Real Estate business, technology, and procedures while providing support in the world of data. This role will also interact with multiple departments in accomplishment of their assignments and provide professional execution of day-to-day tasks and special projects while working within established standards, policies, and procedures.
