Job Summary: Audits key dimensional characteristics of sample parts in outgoing lots as prescribed by outgoing inspection. Performs approval inspections at the request of operators and other production personnel. Uses highly sophisticated electronic and air gauging in addition to conventional methods. Maintain all quality records and complete reports as required.
This is a Weekend shift position from 6:00am - 6:00pm Friday - Sunday. Starting pay is $21.89/hr + $1.00 shift differential.
Job Duties:
Conduct quality audits on a daily basis.
Inspect new tooling and fixtures before product use.
Set up, issue, and log gauges. Calibrate and enter into Gagetrak as required.
Complete all necessary reports on a timely basis.
Maintain all records by filing daily, closing notifications in SAP and performing associated inventory moves.
Assist employees with quality related problems and resolution.
Perform all tests and record appropriately. Cleanliness tests done weekly, Cap. studies completed on time.
Complete all forms required by customers.
Provide training in measurement skills as required.
Inspect and release incoming product.
Maintain work instructions.
Compile and analyze data as required.
Work with engineering to disposition items that are suspect (rework & scrap)
Maintain QA Hold Area
Work safely at ALL times and comply with safety regulations regarding the use of protective equipment or devices.
Keep work area, equipment, storage area, etc. clean and orderly at all times.
Offer suggestions relative to improving work process, procedures, productivity, job safety or work environment.
Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed by Manager or other designated person.
Assist in new product development (such as testing, ordering gauges and keeping up to date files on all testing.)
Must perform as a team member with the willingness and attitude to work with others to resolve problems. Must also maintain a good working relationship with others within the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
1-3 years of use of shop math and the ability to read calipers, micrometers and blueprints.
Computer and teamwork skills a must.
At least 1 year prior quality experience or technical education
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Must be able to work independently and make judgment decisions as to the quality of the product.
Be able to work with limited supervision and support.
