Job Summary:
Financial Systems Governance Team is part of the Caterpillar IT - Corporate Services organization. Our goal is to design, develop and maintain best in class financial systems and tools, and enhance governance and controls to support accounting and finance processes, managing risk and exposure across reporting and compliance.
As the Financial Systems Governance Principal Digital Program Manager you will support Financial Systems Governance Team with onboarding and managing of projects and small programs and IT demand management. You will work independently, as well as within a large team environment (matrix-oriented structure), to assist in delivery of world-class process and technology solutions in support of the business needs.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for the planning and on boarding of projects and small programs
Provides governance & oversight of projects/small programs to ensure project goals or objectives are accomplished within approved time frame, scope and budget
Develop and produce project management schedules, timelines, in various tools
Responsible for timely and accurate report-outs to stakeholders which may include department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, etc.
Champions strong IT governance in the project management framework and supports governance leads
May also be responsible for performing other job duties occasionally as assigned
Work with business partners to standardize, simplify, and optimize total cost of ownership of various IT tools
Guide and/or validate process documentation.
Assist the integration of focus facilities, new acquisitions and ventures, and/or new clients into corporate practices.
What You Have:
Associates degree or equivalent in accounting / finance, computer science, information systems, or closely related discipline
Project Management exposure or equivalent experience in related areas
Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
Shows positive collaboration to drive outcomes
Flexibility to work in a global environment
Must demonstrate high levels of initiative, leadership, good judgment, the ability to communicate effectively, a broad understanding of accounting business processes, process improvement.
Extensive experience in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Project or similar project management tools
Desired but not required for role:
Six sigma experience
Project management certification
Experience in project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.
Working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools
Professional Certification in Accounting / Finance (CPA, CMA or equivalent).
SAP delivery experience
SAP Certification
Have a comprehensive knowledge of Caterpillar business, products, suppliers and customers
Working knowledge in applications development with background in systems hardware, system software, support and development methodologies, and customer application needs.

The primary locations for this position are: East Peoria IL, Nashville TN, or Dallas, TX
This position requires you to work in the office three times a week, with some flexibility.
This position may require 10% travel.
