The Senior Marketing Specialist will drive the analysis, development, and implementation of marketing strategies to achieve profitable revenue growth. This individual will work closely with the Marketing Manager, Product Managers, and Business Development Manager on developing and executing marketing initiatives for existing and new products.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute digital and print marketing activities including creation of product launch materials, marketing campaigns, and sales collateral (brochures, literature sheets, website campaigns, social content, direct mail, email, advertising, press releases, video production, sales playbooks, etc.).

  • Drive the collaborative GTM process of product launch with product managers, segment manager, and business development manager focused on customer centric value proposition development.

  • Own divisional relationship with outside creative agency of record; responsible for project planning documents, editing support, and approvals.

  • Lead the collaborative go-to-market efforts (i.e. trade show planning, social media content, best practice sessions) for Miller, Hobart, and MIG Guns Division

  • Assist the product team, as needed, with surveys and customer interview questionnaires as part of the Customer-Backed Innovation process and post-launch feedback.

  • Assembling training presentations for distribution channels and internal sales force.

  • Reviewing and updating digital customer-facing database systems which drive: the Miller distributor portal, the sales team myWelds mobile app, other sales team communication tools, and the Millerwelds.com main website.

  • Assisting Product Managers with creation of competitive analysis and product/market landscapes.

  • Lead regional events and collaborate in national industry trade show planning, execution, and exhibiting.

  • Own marketing budget process for estimating monthly expenses and tracking actual spend.

  • Regularly report on content performance and drive improvements into the creative process.

  • Bachelor's degree in business (emphasis in marketing preferred).

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a product-based, business to business environment.

  • Strong business acumen, well organized, aggressive self-starter with the willingness to learn and grow.

  • Must be a motivated team player, solid decision-maker, and highly creative with the ability to inspire a team around the shared vision.

  • Proven ability to analyze current business issues, customer needs and formulate marketing strategies.

  • Ability to succeed in a fast-moving environment that values an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Excellent oral/written communication and group facilitation/presentation skills.

  • Ability and experience to understand technical product-line.

  • Must be proficient with software collaboration tools including the Microsoft suite.

  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
