We are seeking an Actuarial Support Analyst to support state filing work, member complaints, and data calls for our Auto Pricing Actuary team. This role will be a Remote (Work@Home) position.
Supports actuarial and loss reserving work through one or more of the following activities: data manipulation, validation, and analysis, system functionality oversight and integration, auditor interaction, and/or actuarial process and system improvements. Under direct supervision, performs routine work assignments and problem resolution to support other team members.
Job Requirements
Tasks:
Acquires and applies foundational knowledge of the business, its applications, and processes.
Performs research and prepares and validates reports to support actuarial staff.
Compiles data and provides technical and analytical support for studies, projects, or reviews.
Seeks guidance from team members to resolve issues and to identify appropriate issues for escalation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a Degree.
Up to 2 years relevant business and/or general analysis experience
Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
Foundational knowledge of relevant data analysis tools; Basic knowledge of relevant data extraction tools.
Successful completion of a job-related assessment may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge and experience with Python, SQL, or other programming language
Experience with data analytics
Strong problem-solving, innovation, and process improvement skills
Experience working in a matrixed environment
Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Prior personal lines insurance experience

Compensation:
USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $46,000 - 82,900 * .
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
*Geographical Differential : Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.
Shift premium will be addressed on an individual basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
