Position Summary:

As a Technical Project Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the supervision and technical functions within the Stennis Autonomous Maritime Systems (AMS) team.
The Technical Project Leader will be serving on a dynamic team, supporting AMS operations within Serco's office near our client's site at Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO) located at Stennis Space Center, MS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the Stennis Space Center Area.
Responsible for building a business area, to operate independently with initiative, with remote guidance and support.
This billet must be tactful and careful in dealing with both customers and staff.
Support field operations as required by the technical customer.
A technical background in unmanned underwater systems is desired, in a discipline with application to maritime environment, needing a broad mastery of technologies involved in fielding, maintaining, and operation.
A background showing leadership of fielded personnel is also desired.
Support the development of new business and the expansion of existing business with the customer.
Act as primary customer contact for program activities.
Regularly meet with customer and provide updates and project status.
Onsite duties may include but are not limited to: direct support of onsite customer representatives, management of Serco work teams and subcontractor teams, management of local resources in support of testing and evaluation environments, onsite logistics support of personnel and equipment, and ability to effectively meet rapid requirements needs that emerge while onsite.
Must possess ability to travel for extended periods to manage offsite program and business development activities.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by upper management.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Engineering/Technical-related discipline plus 10+ years' experience Or greater than 8 years' experience in engineering or managing military technology projects including supervisory and budgetary responsibilities, including a minimum of 2 years of experience in operational test planning, executing, and reporting.
Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.
2-5 years' experience in the unmanned industry.
Must have current active Secret level clearance.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of various types of autonomous maritime systems (AUVs/UUVs/ROVs/USVs).
Proficiency in MS Office products to include Word, Power Point and Excel.
The ability to work aboard various sized vessels and within Fleet installations.
5+ years' prior military experience in unmanned vehicles.
Experience in systems engineering employment, exercising innovation in technical direction and successful development of both near and long-term project strategies.
Proficient in interfacing with customers, subcontractors, vendors, project teams and management stakeholders at all levels of engineering, integration, testing, sustainment, and operations.
Travel Requirements:
Travel and at-sea support will be required
Minimum 10% travel CONUS/OCONUS
