Job Description:
Responsible for the day-to-day tactical duties for assigned programs. Oversees and coordinates the cost/schedule/technical aspects of ongoing engineering projects within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer. Serves as single point-of-contact between engineering project management and planning, engineering project team, and line management. Reviews status of engineering projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses engineering project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring engineering project progress and for intervention and problem solving with engineering project managers, line managers, and customers. Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received. May conduct performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future/other engineering projects, missions, and programs.
Essential Functions:
Execute projects utilizing standard practices with emphasis on required Project and Functional milestones.
Deliver project from development phase through transition to production.
Work with all Engineering disciplines, technicians, and Program Management in a team environment.
Interfaces with customers and suppliers in technical areas relating to projects.
Occasional travel to customer and supplier sites, and other L3Harris locations as needed.
Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed.
Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values.
Performs job duties in a manner that maintains compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies and procedures.
Works independently under regular direction and guidance on non-routine tasks requiring judgement and initiative.
Standard processes are provided and peer review may be required.
Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide array of professional levels and functions. Follow strategic direction set by Program and Functional leadership.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 1 year of prior related experience. Graduate degree or equivalent with 0 - 2 years prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
2+ years of Mechanical (Optical) Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Systems Engineering experience.
US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if needed in the future.
Preferred Additional Skills:
2+ years working in the defense industry.
Willing and able to work extended hours including evenings and weekends when necessary to meet customer commitments.
Periodic travel up to 10% may be required
Familiarization with Laser Range Finders or Laser Designators
Proficient in MS Office
Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbal) to technical and non-technical personnel.
Ability to work in a small organization with fast-paced environment.
