Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscience Landfill Laborer to join our GROWING team in Lincoln, Nebraska.
PAY:- $16 - $20 per hour working 50-55 hours a week. Every hour after 40 is paid overtime.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-Checking trucks in and out of the landfill and directing traffic at site as necessary.-Manual labor including paper picking, keeping landfill clean and presentable.-Perform yard work including cutting weeds.-Install temporary wind fences as required.-Perform general office maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work.-Working outside in all weather conditions.-Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:-Work involves constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises-Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.-Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:-Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Company's safety standards; work with a sense of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness.-Ability to adhere to work schedule and follow through on challenges as they arise-One year of stable employment history in a similar environment.
