We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Transportation Analyst II.
The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. The Transportation Analyst II manages the Transportation Freight Pay & Audit data analytics services for the shipment of Caterpillar components and machines domestically and overseas. The role identifies, investigates, and resolves problems with electronic data interchange (EDI) invoices to ensure accurate and on-time payments to providers, and develop initiatives to improve services and lower costs.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for data analytics within the International Transportation team supporting global international value streams for parts and components shipments
Responsible as Data Custodian for International Transportation freight payment data
Leverages Oracle, Snowflake, and Power BI to develop reporting that allows Caterpillar to identify value, improve operational excellence, and provides insights to the transportation network
Manages International Transportation metric and performance dashboards
Collaborates with other areas of the organization to provide analytics and establish integrations to drive process excellence
Provides ad hoc support to business resources staff in areas such as reporting and data analytics
Participates in projects to drive improvements within freight payments
Collaborate with IT teams on data enhancements and data table structure
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
6+ months of data analytics, data science, information technology, or similar type experience
Experience with SAS Programming, SQL, Power BI, Advanced Excel Macros
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Previous experience in freight audit & payment, logistics, or transportation
Strong experience in programming languages, statistics, or computer science
Project leadership experience or project leadership training
Additional Information:
This position does not offer relocation and is located in Morton, IL.
