Associate performs administrative and physical work to ensure all functions of stockroom operations are maintained to provide efficient manufacturing support. Position requires some working knowledge of maintenance procedures, manufacturing equipment and supplies, and financial controls to ensure orderly workflow. Ability to understand technical documentation (blueprints; equipment manuals; etc.).Physical Requirements: - Frequent pushing, pulling, dumping (50 lbs)- Frequent lifting/carrying of materials (50 lbs)- Frequent standing- Frequent stooping and bending- Frequent use of stairs- Frequent use of gripping/handling/reachingWhat will be your key responsibilities?ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (each item should account for 10% or more)Primary function of the incumbent is to ensure all functions of the stockroom are maintained to provide efficient manufacturing support while ensuring all quality, safety and performance standards are being met.The incumbent must do the following:- Properly receive store storeroom supplies and other goods received.- Provide customer service support to associates (i.e. craftsmen, planners, line managers, engineers) in identifying, issuing and procuring parts and supplies.- Coordinate shipment of parts/materials back to vendors to resolve any damage, order or shipment issues; also coordinate shipment of outgoing equipment/parts for repair.- Process purchase requisitions in SAP to create purchase orders for parts ordering.- Maintain and record accurate inventory levels of all storeroom inventory and tools; and maintain usage history in Micromain/SAP (issues and returns).- Conduct inventory cycle counts; reconcile differences between actual and theoretical inventory levels; and ensure orders for replenishment stock are placed.- Assign storeroom bin locations and labels to new inventory; and maintain existing stockroom locations to ensure orderly workflow.- Engage with outside vendors to acquire price list/quotes for items; conduct periodic price checks on inventory materials.- Accept and record all requisitions for spare part manufacturers; examines parts received to ensure they conform to specifications.- Assist in any parts transfers between facilities when requested.- Clean and maintain all storeroom locations, supplies, tools and storage areas to maintain housekeeping and safety standards.- Rotate shifts, when requested, to provide vacation coverage for other attendants or to meet business needs.- Generate, distribute, and fulfill any assigned reporting requirements (i.e. stock value balances, purchase reqs; inventory levels; physical adjustments; etc.)- Deliver any established quarterly/annual cost savings targets.- Support new plant initiatives as directed (i.e. satellite storeroom setup, new operational procedures and standards; etc).- Update, document and implement stockroom operational procedures and standards as directed (i.e. mix/max change requests; new inventory requests; work order compliance for issues; parts kitti
