Job Description:
We currently have an opening in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) in the Maritime Sector (~1.5B revenue). In this role, you will support the Maritime Sector as well as multiple reporting divisions/entities. The individual will perform financial planning and analysis in order to understand current and projected business conditions and to meet reporting requirements. Specific outputs include the review of financial results, the consolidation of financial results for operations, and the timely coordination/consolidation of all required Division reporting.
Heavy focus on Balance Sheet management and reporting: Net Working Capital (NWC) Days, Balances, Days Payables Outstanding (DPO), Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), Days Inventories Outstanding (DIO)
Employee will lead all Free Cash Flow analysis for multiple IMS1 entities
Will lead all aspects of Balance Sheet construction, research and analysis, process improvement and optimization strategies.
Will lead all variance analysis with deliverables to all levels of the organization inclusive of C-Suite executives.
Drive efficiencies down to the Division and Entity level and up to the Segment level and improve processes related to FP&A inclusive of quick-react ad hoc needs, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
Be a thought leader that drives the Maritime Sector towards overall IMS and CHQ objectives.
Trains new employees throughout the FP&A Organization.
Works with multiple cross functional disciplines including Engineering, Operations, Human Resources, Business Development and Supply Chain to ensure a crisp, collaborative and error-free work product.
Drive efficiencies and improve processes related to FP&A.
Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Joint Strategic Plan (JSP) management and reporting.
Reports to the Sector Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Assists in the development of Maritime monthly operations/business review presentation materials.
Other duties as assigned .
Essential Functions:
Preparation of Financial Statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Free Cash Flows
Div Ops reporting / forecasting
Preparation and creation of Hyperion, Excel, and HFM files for forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans
Weekly financial updates of Orders, Sales, EBIT, Cash Flow, IR&D, CapEx
Ongoing variance analysis against budget & forecast to understand current performance
Coordinates/develops corrective action plans.
Planning and scheduling work to meet specified objectives internal, sector, segment and corporate requirements and deadlines.
Special projects and Ad hoc analysis may be required.
Must be prepared/available to work additional hours in select weeks of the month/quarter/year (most weeks ~40 hours is the norm)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
Excellent computing skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft OfficeTMpackage (Microsoft OutlookR, Microsoft ExcelR, Microsoft WordR, Microsoft PowerPointR, Microsoft ProjectR), Hyperion HFM/Planning, SAP, and CostPoint ERP software a plus.
Demonstrated ability to develop plans for short and long-term results.
Strong understanding of government contract accounting and forecasting of orders, sales, operating income and free cash flow.
Experience with Federal Government contracting requirements - Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), Defense Acquisition Regulations (DAR), and International Transfer of Arms Regulations (ITAR) required.
Experience leading meetings with all levels of the organization
Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including ASC 606.
