ENGINEER FACILITIES 2Location: Pascagoula, Mississippi, United States Date: Oct 18, 2022Job DescriptionPlans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility. Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Comprehensive position covering equipment specification criteria, installation, commissioning & troubleshooting of equipment and cranes. Investigate, evaluate and specify new production equipment. Prepare equipment specifications, evaluate vendor proposals, coordinate installation, start up, adjustment, and commissioning of equipment. Troubleshoot and initiate equipment corrective actions working closely with Maintenance personnel and vendors utilizing electrical experience and knowledge of the NEC and applicable PLC's and variable speed AC/DC drives. Position requires that the individual be willing and able to climb ladders and stairs to gain access to various pieces of production equipment and cranes. Basic Qualifications2 Years with Bachelor of Science degree ( Structural, Mechanical or Electrical) in related field; 0 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree ( Structural, Mechanical or Electrical). Preferred QualificationsMechanical or Electrical Engineer should have 2 years of related experience with automated manufacturing equipment including but not limited to burning machines, presses, rolls, shears, pipe benders and other robotic or automated equipment. Experience in troubleshooting various electrical and or hydraulic systems. Experience in various manufacturers PLC drive and control packages, the ability to work with various maintenance crafts, in the field, to assist in troubleshooting various electrical controlled, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
