The National Security Sector of Leidos has a career opportunity for a talented Quality Assurance Engineer to support multiple programs but with primary responsibility for our AEWTTR program. The programs supported in SW/HW integration, installation as well as mechanical fabrication and testing in ISO 9001 and CMMI ML3 Dev environments. This position serves as the member of the project team with the responsibility to ensure the highest quality service is provided to the customer through Quality Planning, the performance of regularly scheduled internal process audits, process documentation/control and the consistent facilitation of structured improvement activities. The successful candidate will be an agent for change, possess high energy, have a passion for quality, and be self-motivated. The environment demands the ability to quickly establish working relationships with coworkers/customers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with the Program Manager and QEC Director to develop Quality strategies, objectives, and responsibilities for QA.
Work in an engineering/manufacturing/assembly environment and ability to refine/lead Quality Management this program.
Supervise and provide support to Quality Control inspectors and testers at AEWTTR and remote locations.
Serve as the Quality lead on each program at the AEWTTR site for the performance of planning, work product reviews, and quality audits.
Implement and maintain the AEWTTR Quality Assurance (QA) Plan and Quality Management System.
Support Quality Management Reviews by reporting to QEC Director and higher-level management on the program's quality achievements and the program's progress towards meeting quality objectives
Update the program's Tailored Process Baseline (TPB) for any in scope programs or voluntary programs utilizing EngineeringEdge R NextGen
Provide review and input to program plans and program documents in support of accurate and on-time deliverables
Execute timely internal quality audits in adherence with the programs' audit schedules and in compliance with Leidos policies and direction, report audit results to QEC Director and program leadership
Provide proactive early identification of issues/concerns prior to nonconformances/events occurring by analyzing trends associated with program key processes
Generate and provide assistance on corrective action requests for audit findings and maintain the Common Audit Database (CAD) with timely updates/closures of audit findings
Ensure engineering compliance to design/manufacturing/fabrication procedures for components and/or systems in accordance with customer requirements.
Participate in peer reviews of development/updates to technical deliverables.
Establish a test strategy for monitoring test procedure/plan compliance to Factory Acceptance Tests, and document corrective and preventive actions accordingly.
Monitoring field troubleshooting of team's equipment from a documentation and configuration tracking perspective.
Conduct root cause analysis on trends, customer concerns/CAR/negative CPARs to ensure corrective and preventive actions are performed to prevent recurrence
Supports and proactively leads and documents process improvements (e.g., six sigma events), lessons learned and assists program team in creating a culture for continuous improvement
Actively implements Mission Assurance goals and objectives and support QEC business rhythms
Perform continuous product and process improvement activities
Deploy and implement appropriate QMS processes
Implement audit practices for internal processes and products
Ensure adherence to all standards, Leidos policies, and best practices
Support the development of inspection and measurement
Track, analyze and report to program management on trends found in the performance metrics
Provide the program manager with timely metrics and audit outcomes to gauge progress towards quality objectives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
BA or BS degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline and 8 years of relevant experience or Masters with 6 years of prior relevant Quality Management experience in Systems Engineering environment. Additional years of directly related experience may be used in lieu of degree.
Active DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Ability to multi-task, complete tasks without direct supervision, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, & Project).
Ability to support local and domestic travel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in Fabrication, Integration and/or Manufacturing.
Experience implementing Quality Management Systems to internal or international standards.
Experienced with Agile SW Development.
Certified Lean Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt.
Formal auditor training.
Experience auditing to external quality standards such as ISO9001/ISO20000/CMMI.
Experience managing and developing performance metrics.
Experience with Military Logistics and Testing Projects.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
