Waste Connections is the premier provider of solid waste collection, transfer, recycling and disposal services, along with recycling and resource recovery, in mostly exclusive and secondary markets across the US and Canada. We also provide non-hazardous oilfield waste treatment, recovery and disposal services in several basins across the U.S., as well as intermodal services for the rail haul movement of cargo and solid waste containers in the Pacific Northwest.
Groot Industries, a subsidiary of Waste Connections, is currently searching for a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn about our company and the waste industry in general. In this position you will spend 12 weeks with various designated mentors learning different aspect of the business. This is a paid full-time internship. Schedule is first shift Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
Intern Requirements:
A final year student or recent graduate.
Eager to learn and work with various departments in the company.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to multitask.
Cope well under pressure.
