JOB SUMMARY:
This position will have primary responsibility for supporting Caterpillar dealers in the southeast portion of the United States in the development of the EP Gas aftermarket business for the Lafayette and the Mannheim product line. The job purpose is the technical assistance and development of capabilities as well as the development of commercial aftermarket business to support growing parts and prime product sales with Caterpillar dealers in this region.
A more detailed description of the job responsibilities may vary depending on the candidate qualifications but would include the following key responsibilities:
Manage and assist dealers in the aftermarket business planning process.
Maximize parts sales $, POPS %, # LTSA and # of connected assets in the region through an effective management of commercial support tools.
Support dealers in identifying and addressing product issues through effective resolutions and the involvement of product groups and CPI process.
Manage commercial support to win critical business in competitive situation and in case of product deficiencies (goodwill).
Liaison between dealers and various Caterpillar groups.
Develop dealer technical and commercial capabilities in servicing gas engines.
Support product groups and commercial groups in the development, testing and implementation of corporate programs and initiatives (technical and commercial).
Minimum Requirements:
Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
Advanced understanding of Cat gas engines operation and trouble shooting
Good communication, analytical, organizational and time management skills
A foundational understanding of Caterpillar Dealers and their operation
Works well independently
Business Languages: English
Travel time: Up to 50 % to include international travel.
