The Fleet Compliance Coordinator will assist with establishing and reviewing driver qualification files for internal and external CDL holder positions within the organization, maintaining records ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating communication between Transportation and Human Resources to ensure compliance requirements are met and maintained with 3rd party vendor(s).
Reviews and maintains current U.S. Department of Transportation (-DOT-) policies and procedures.
Ensures all needed DOT driver qualification required documentation are sent to vendor(s) according to regulation efficiently and thoroughly. Documents include:
DOT Medical Examiner's Certification
Motor Vehicle Report Compliance
DOT Drug Screening & ClearingHouse
Safety Performance History Request(s)
DOT Long Form Driver Application
Commercial Driver License
Orders and audits Motor Vehicle Reports, Medical Examiner's Certifications, Commercial Driver License, and DOT Drug Screen(s) to ensure compliance with Dollar General and DOT specific qualifications
Completes routine compliance maintenance of active and terminated accounts with 3rd party compliance systems
Partners and monitors Microsoft Teams files with Safety Supervisors to document roadside inspection(s) and accident and injury report(s) in Microsoft Teams files timely and accurately
Assists Fleet Compliance Supervisor with random drug and alcohol compliance reporting according to DOT regulation
Maintains compliance data, records, and acknowledgement(s); assists with preparation of new hire paperwork. Coordinates and maintains confidential personnel records, answers general driver qualification questions and inquiries regarding compliance with the DOT
Processes paperwork, reviews ongoing driver qualification files, assists with ongoing compliance and verifies DOT-mandated reference checks.
May log and process DOT-mandated compliance checks
May maintain and distribute compliance report(s) for distribution center.
Partners with employees and management to communicate various compliance policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations
Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of company policies, procedures and practices; familiarity with distribution center positions.
Intermediate computer skills; ability to use Adobe PDF, OneNote, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and payroll systems such as Lawson and KRONOS.
Detail oriented.
Exposure to changing climatic conditions and extreme heat and cold.
Occasionally required to walk long distances within the distribution center.
