Join Serco as a senior-level, logistics analyst providing shipyard support. You will be on a team that is evaluating and managing the delivery of new amphibious ships and landing craft to the fleet. Our team is led by a Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, each having decades of experience working in the DoD and Shipbuilding Industry.

This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain an Interim DoD Secret level clearance post-employment.

Our Amphibious Warfare Operation provides critical services to nearly all U.S. Navy amphibious ships and craft. You will work closely with Government and industry professionals as well as shipbuilders and other support personnel. In this role, you will:

  • Support the assigned ship or landing craft Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team.

  • Provide waterfront ILS coordination between Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM), ILS Assistant Program Manager (APM), SSGC, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division-Ships Systems Engineering Station (NSWCCD-SSES), Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWARSYSCOM) [formerly SPAWAR], Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS), Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), the pre-commissioning crew. and the shipbuilder.

  • Provide resource data and product support.

  • Research contracts and purchase orders for accuracy, track equipment and material deliveries and shipboard installation.

  • Review technical manuals, drawings, and procurement documents.

  • Participate in technical manual and configuration validations.

  • Assist with Consolidated Shipboard/Shore-Based Allowance List (COSAL) load-out and validations.

  • Coordinate Engineering Operational Sequencing System (EOSS) and Combat Systems Operational Sequencing System (CSOSS) shipboard validations.

  • Collaborate with government and contractor personnel to develop logistical documentation per contract requirements.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A High School Diploma or GED plus 15+ years relevant ILS experience in an acquisition environment on DoD/Navy Ship or Craft Programs. Individuals with college degrees or technical school or military certifications and less experience will be considered. The 15+ years of relevant ILS experience in an acquisition environment is defined as product support with a life cycle management focus and include activities and aspects that extend across the life cycle in more than one of the -Twelve Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements-, as outlined in Appendix A of the DoD Product Support Manager's (PSM) Guidebook and the DoD Integrated Product Support Element (IPS) Guidebook. These twelve IPS elements are:

  • Product Support Management

  • Design Interface

  • Sustaining Engineering

  • Supply Support

  • Maintenance Planning and Management

  • Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T)

  • Technical Data

  • Support Equipment

  • Training & Training Support

  • Manpower & Personnel

  • Facilities and Infrastructure

  • Computer Resources

  • Must be able to obtain an Interim DoD Secret clearance post-employment.

  • United States (U.S.) citizenship.

  • Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools.

  • Ability to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility. Some work will occur within an industrial field office, outdoors and/or aboard ship while the ship is undergoing construction, alteration, activation, overhaul, repair, and/or underway trials. Walking and climbing throughout the ship, to accomplish ship checks, validations, or load-outs, will be required. Exposure to high noise levels, uncomfortable temperatures, heights, or other industrial safety conditions will require use of personal protective clothing and equipment.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is desired.

  • Relevant U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard experience in the ILS areas of ship acquisition, construction or repair is desired. Relevant Amphibious warship ship and/or craft ILS experience is ideal.

  • Experience with CDMS, Independent Cost Estimate (ICE), CDMD-OA, and other Navy ILS related software is highly desirable.

  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act of 1990 (DAWIA) certification is desired.
