POSITION SUMMARY

In this position, you're responsible for moving raw material within the plant to support the operations processes. You will utilize different equipment and inventory control systems. This position operates in a warehouse environment. Accuracy, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency while maintaining safety are key skills for this role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

. Perform shipping/receiving duties; supplies the lines with correct product (wire, washers, nut blanks)

. Work with scheduling, create job packets, dump parts, load production lines

. Check revisions match workorders and part prints

. Prepares purchase orders; orders wires; creates job packets.

. Records production, WIP changes, and first ops in AS400

. Manage nut blank and washer inventories

. Move and weigh up product from machines to staging and shipping areas.

. Created Purchase Orders, attaches labels to tubs and puts proper paperwork in packets with correct destination and covers tubs

. Scans outbound in AS400 thus creating BOL's

. Loads trucks by delivery destinations

. Key in overseeing simi annual ITW inventory

. Reads work order and/or follow verbal instructions to move raw material (wire & components) to machines and designated areas within facility.

. Organize empty tubs and wire carriers

. Gage control and calibration and keeping records and working with quality and auditors as needed.

. Inspection of incoming materials, and paperwork associated with the products.

. Unload and load trucks; unload wire truck; identify and tag wire and move to identified location.

. Oversee the running, scheduling and flow thru of the parts washer

. Dumping of bulk nuts and washer for use in the lines.

. Sign packages and bring to proper locations.

. Occasionally perform light maintenance to help maintenance department.

. Drives a variety of forklift trucks to move materials within the facility.

. Complies with safety and quality rules and policies.

. Support department efforts to maintain a clean work area, machines, and equipment.

. Assist machine operators as needed.

. Perform other duties as assigned.

. High School diploma or the equivalent technical training required.

. 1-2+ years' experience driving different types of forklifts required; able to obtain fork truck certification through ITW Shakeproof to operate sit-down LP forklift.

. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

. Knowledge and basic computer operation ability.

. Must have good mathematical skills.

. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

. Ability to complete routine production and quality reports.

. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

. Understanding and compliance with safety rules and regulations.

. Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to multi-task.
